"I
take thee to be my wedded partner, to have and to hold, fr
om this
day forward, for better, for
worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love
and to cherish, til death do us part."
Or,
"We
pledge to support each other's journey, to continually shine light
on each other's virtue, and support individual intuitions, even when
it doesn't directly benefit us individually. We pledge
to reinforce and complement each other's virtue."
A beautiful
bonding ceremony is a great joy for all who participate.
Sherry can provide you with a complete ceremony, help you write your own
unique vows,
or perform the ceremony of your own creation. The goal is
always to help create a beautiful service that acknowledges
the
marriage that has already taken place in your hearts.
You may
choose to include children or other important people or pets in your
service. You may choose to exclude witnesses, bridesmaids, or
groomsmen. You may decide to make your ceremony an occasion
for play. Or you may want the fairytale wedding with all the
ponies and doves. It is all yours for the
creating.

Godmother
herself to two special ones (John just turned 34 and Aurora is
approaching her fifth birthday), Sherry finds a special joy in the
ceremonies of welcoming new ones to the planet.

First
Menses, Croning, and all other Female Passages
Let
us name three phases to
a woman’s life:
Enter Maidenhood when your first moon blood flows.
This is a time of exploration and discovery and learning; a
time for gathering the data of who you want to be and who you
don’t want to be.
Enter Motherhood with the birth of your first baby; or when you
choose to mother the babies of other women; or when you shepherd,
nurture, and complete work projects or other creative endeavors.
This is a time of creation and nurturance of others.
Enter Cronehood at the age of 50; or when your moon blood flows
for the last time; or when you know you have gained the wisdom
necessary to accept the responsibility of leadership.
This is a time of commitment to be true to yourself and your
inner knowing, to walk in integrity in your community, to reap the
fruits of your harvest, and to be a link between those crones who
came before you and those who will follow you.
Each
of these are powerful times in a woman's life and their marking in
ceremony serves to heighten and integrate that power even
further. And there are of course many, many other female
passages that may be celebrated in ceremony. Sherry is bonded
closely to goddess energy and is delighted to co-create ceremonies
in her spirit.
